All of Housemark’s Specialist Clubs cover key topics relevant to the housing sector and allow you to explore new ideas, learn from expert speakers and fellow Club members and network with peers. Each Club hosts three Club meetings per year, jam-packed full of insight and tips, and featuring a fantastic line-up of in and out of sector experts.

Peter Salisbury, our new Repairs and Asset Management Club manager, explains how he jumped at the chance to get involved

I am the Director of Housing Consulting at Manifest, a multidisciplinary Specialist Housing and Housing IT Consultancy. I have over 20 years of housing sector experience in consultancy, interim management and a variety of roles for Registered Providers.

I have to confess, I didn’t know an awful lot about Housemark’s Repairs and Asset Management Club when I was asked to come and talk about property compliance and building safety at a previous Club meeting.

However, the whole meeting was a fantastic experience. There were people from a wide variety of roles, and different landlords from across the UK who actively participated in all of the sessions, sharing their experiences and ideas for good practice, as well as mistakes that had been made along the way.

The quality of discussions and presentations was so good that when Housemark asked me if I was interested in helping out as the Club manager in 2022, I jumped at the chance!

I’ve worked with Housemark and with Club members to shape an exciting programme this year, keeping pace with the latest developments at a time of perhaps the greatest change to the sector in many years. Effective repairs and asset management is a vital function for the sector and repairs management has been put even more under the spotlight lately. Now, more than ever, it’s vital to ensure you have an efficient repairs service. This Club will enable you to share best practice on repairs and receive tips and advice to make your service the best it can be.

The Club looks at a range of practical and strategic approaches to ensure you are delivering a productive, positive service for your business and customers. It’s ideal for those responsible for achieving maximum value from assets.
